Perched atop a remote mountain cliff, our cabin boasts stunning views of Pikes Peak, snow-capped mountain ranges, valleys and lakes are yours to peacefully enjoy---truly away from it all.

Our home is about 50 mins from Colorado Springs and ~30 mins away from Woodland Park. You're in driving range to Cripple Creek, Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs.

Getting around

Our home can be accessed via County Road 1. There is approximately 3 miles of unpaved road with various grade changes to get to the house. Given the remoteness of the area and weather, it is required to have a 4WD vehicle when traveling to the home – especially during winter months. Ride-sharing apps like Uber and Lyft may be non-existent given the location..

The property

Our cabin retreat has a deck on three sides, giving you plenty of opportunities to take in the incredible panoramic landscape.

On the back deck, relax in custom adirondack-style chairs. An outdoor dining table also gives you an excellent opportunity to bask in the views while enjoying your favorite beverage or meal with family and friends.

As you enter the home, you'll immediately notice a unique, metal hanging fireplace in the living room. While no longer operational or functional, this piece gives a rustic touch to the entire experience you're about to enjoy.

The living room has two couches and plenty of seating for everyone to gather. A sliding glass door opens onto the back porch, giving you easy access to the incredible scenery.

Next to the living room is a quaint galley-style kitchen. Here you have all the essentials to make home-cooked meals to enjoy. The dining room table is accented by two mid-century modern style chairs and two art pieces.

Off of the living room and dining area is the master bedroom. A sliding glass door gives you access to the back porch, flanked by a large window to let in plenty of light and views from the comfort of the bedroom. A master, private bathroom sits immediately adjacent.

An additional bathroom is located near the front entrance, with a walk-in shower. Opposite this bathroom is another bedroom on the main floor. The washer and dryer machine is located in one of the closets here for your convenience.

Heading upstairs to the loft, you'll see plenty of natural lights thanks to the skylights on the roof. The hanging fireplace is also visible right over the railing, giving an interconnected feel to the entire place.

The upstairs features two twin beds and one full-sized bed, with comfortable sleeping for four. A chair and reading nook rounds out the loft for your enjoyment.

The house is surrounded by nature and wildlife, with your preference to view from the expansive deck or from the comfort of the cabin. At night, an incredible starlit sky is unveiled with virtually no light pollution, which is truly a sight to behold.

There is no air conditioner in this home. This is very common in Colorado mountain homes due to the usual, nice, cool breeze. Feel free to open up the windows to enjoy it or use the fan located in the closet.

Our cabin is a perfect spot for exploring the surrounding area with family and friends in a remote setting. Given the quiet neighborhood and permanent residents who call this special area home, our place is not suitable for parties, loud gatherings or other events.

Guest access

Country Road 1 takes you to our cabin. The final 3 miles of your journey consist of an unpaved road, in various states of accessibility and grade changes. Given this dynamic, the remoteness of the location and the sometimes unpredictable weather (including snow), it is required to have a 4WD vehicle when traveling to the home - especially during winter months. The area is sparsely populated, with other homes in the area mostly a permanent residential community. Please observe all posted speed limit signs to defer to our neighbors who call this special place their home.

Other things to note

Wildlife is abundant in the area around the cabin. You may see deer, elk, bear, coyotes, bugs and more. While it's beautiful scenery, please keep your distance from any animals you encounter.

Colorado weather can range significantly. While often lovely, the area is prone to harsher weather with storms and wind, and can receive heavy snowfall during winter months.

Cell phone reception in the area varies by carrier. The cabin wifi signal is strong and can accommodate house guests and streaming devices.

In this area, pets are prohibited as a safety precaution given the prevalence of wildlife and steep mountainous drop-offs in the area.

Trash left outside will be accessed by wildlife, and may cause damage or spread debris as a result. Please place trash in the metal dumpster at the end of the driveway and ensure it is latched properly.

There is a large fireplace in the home that is no longer functional and for decor only. The home has a central heating system for all heating purposes.

Please be respectful of neighbors with noise levels, including observing quiet hours between 9pm and 8am. No smoking or vaping indoors (please clean up debris if smoking outdoors and use extra precaution due to forest fires).
